Bangladesh New Zealand Friendship Society (BNZFS) has sent a formal letter to the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government of Bangladesh expressing deep concern over the tragic death of Sharif Osman Hadi and the recent unrest in Bangladesh.

In the letter, BNZFS conveyed solidarity with the people of Bangladesh and urged the government to take decisive steps to ensure justice, protect press freedom, engage in inclusive dialogue, and safeguard the upcoming elections.

The Society reaffirmed its commitment to supporting peace, democracy, and human rights, and offered assistance where appropriate.
